曽我大介(指揮者・作曲家)は、桐朋学園大学およびブカレスト音楽大学でコントラバスを学び、ウィーン音楽大学、キジアーナ音楽院、タングルウッドなどで指揮を研鑽。1989年にプロデビュー後、ブザンソン国際指揮者コンクール優勝、キリル・コンドラシン国際コンクール第1位などを受賞した。
欧米、ブラジル、アジアの主要オーケストラに客演し、日本では大阪交響楽団音楽監督、東京ニューシティ管弦楽団(現パシフィックフィルハーモニア東京)で17年間にわたり要職を歴任。近年は作曲活動にも力を注ぎ、2025年にコントラバス協奏曲を初演。著書多数。ブラショフ市、ロンドリーナ市の名誉市民、令和3年度外務大臣表彰を受賞。2024年ベルリンでの《第九》初演200周年記念公演、2025年日韓国交60周年記念公演を成功に導いた。
Daisuke Soga is a conductor and composer who studied double bass in Japan and Romania and conducting in Vienna, Siena, and at Tanglewood. He made his professional debut in 1989 and won major prizes including the Grand Prix at the Besançon International Conducting Competition and First Prize at the Kirill Kondrashin Competition.
He has appeared with leading orchestras throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and in Japan served as Music Director of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra and held principal posts with the Tokyo New City Orchestra (now Pacific Philharmonia Tokyo) for 17 years. Active also as a composer, his works are performed internationally, including the premiere of his Double Bass Concerto in 2025. He is the author of several music publications and has received honorary citizenship from Brașov (Romania) and Londrina (Brazil), as well as Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Award. In 2024 he successfully led the Beethoven Ninth 200th anniversary concert in Berlin, followed by the Japan–Korea 60th anniversary concert in 2025.
